
Accounts Assistant\Assistant Accountant in
Reporting to the Financial Controller / Finance Manager the main duties include:
- Maintaining Rent, Service Charge & Insurance Sales Ledgers, Purchases & Nominal Ledgers
- Receipts, payments and bank reconciliation
- Credit control including debt collection
- Cash flow management
- Reporting to and liaising with clients on a regular basis
Dependent on qualification and experience the role may expand to include the following duties:
- Preparation of Audit files for service charges and liaising with auditors
- VAT Analysis and preparation of VAT returns
- RCT Returns
Person Specification:
The ideal candidate should be an accounts person with considerable experience in a busy accounts department handling all areas of the day to day accounting routine. While genuine hands-on experience is more important than qualifications, the position may suit an accounting technician or part qualified accountant. Previous accounts experience within the property sector would be advantageous.
Other attributes considered key to the position are:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a strong team player
- Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- A high proficiency level in Word and Excel
