CHAMPIONS SPORTS has taken over the former Adams store at City Square shopping centre in Waterford. The company will be paying a base rent of EUR130,000 plus 9 per cent of the turnover - an arrangement that should lead to an overall rent of about EUR180,000 for owners Bank of Ireland Asset Management. The shop has a ground floor area of 185sq m (2,000sq ft) and 92sq m (1,000sq ft) of storage.
